Weekend Picks: First Friday, Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival, Sakura Sunday In Fairmount Park And More
The weather is supposed to be beautiful and sunny in Philadelphia this weekend with temperatures reaching 65 degrees (yes, spring!) and tons of great al fresco events that allow Philadelphians and visitors to take full advantage of the weather.
The weekend starts off with First Friday events at galleries, bars and museums, and the Philadelphia Phillies Home Opener at Citizens Bank Park in South Philly.
On Sunday, the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival wraps up for the season with the blockbuster Sakura Sunday in Fairmount Park. The festival celebrates cherry blossom blooms and Japanese culture with performances, food, crafts and more.
Also on Sunday, Main Street in Manayunk turns into a hub for food trucks as its annual StrEAT Food Festival returns with fare from more than 30 food trucks, beer gardens, music and games.
And don’t forget to follow Uwishunu on Twitter and Instagram for updates throughout the weekend.
